Sugar Creek Music Club, 344 Camp
Road, Hayden, Alabama 35079 is operated by Mac & Pat McAllister. Together
with Merle Dollar and Garry Burtram of the famed Local Color Café, they
have created a warm, inviting
venue which will be a one-stop destination for snacks and a show. Mac &
Pat love to cook & entertain, and have had a great deal of experience in feeding
large "flocks" of people here at Sugar Creek for special events and fellowship
over the years. So you can look forward to wonderful hospitality as well as some
great music.
Sugar Creek Music Club is a private club for music lovers across the central
Alabama region. Attendance of two or more events per season constitutes
membership. Guests may attend single events when invited by a member.
Meetings are held during Music Club events and bylaws will be made available
upon request submitted in writing to: Sugar Creek Music Club, Attention
Officers, 344 Camp Road, Hayden, AL 35079. All events Held on private
property of the Hitt & Miss Farms Hayden, AL. Members and guests are asked
to respect the privacy of this property's owner and honor times set forth for
Sugar Creek Music Club events. Any questions or concerns contact Mac
McAllister at 256-841-2522.
We will have a good deal of the Local Color "flavor" that their dedicated
visitors will appreciate.
Seating will be reserved, just like before at Local Color, so please contact Merle
Dollar via email (merle.localcolor@gmail.com) or by phone/text at
205-527-0232 for reservations (good news, this place is twice the size of our Local Color, so plan to bring even more friends & family!).
Or you can click the "RESERVE" button for your desired event back on the Home Page.
"How much does it cost? -- Each event has its own cover charge, usually
$20 per person, although some covers are higher. We do NOT accept checks
or credit cards, ONLY cash. So please be sure to bring enough for your
cover charge and any snacks you want to purchase.
"What do I wear?" -- You're on your own. Ours is an informal
atmosphere (shorts and T-shirts are fine if you want to be casual), but if
you're bringing a date and want to look good, spiff up a bit. We don't see a
lot of men wearing shirts & ties, but it happens. Some events beg
semi-formal attire (see the Senior
Prom photos) or costumery (see the
Halloween Party photos), but you
really have an infinite number of clothing choices. Clothing IS required,
whatever the event (keep it classy, folks).
"Will there be anything to eat?" -- Yes. While we are no longer
serving meals, we will have snacks for every event.
Mac & Pat ask that you give them a 24 hour cancellation so they can more accurately plan the food preparation. The kitchen will be open for
light fare and other good stuff that you can purchase before the show, plus yummy homemade desserts,
snacks & beverages for sale all through the evening.
There will also be soft drinks and coffee available for sale later in the evening. You won't need to bring
anything else except your own adult beverages (none sold on premises). They even have a movie theater style Pop Corn popper! Your Friendly Webmaster's
favorite snack is the brownie & ice cream sundaes.
The doors open at 5:00PM unless otherwise indicated in the event description.. Please bring cash, and remember this is a rural setting, so no ATMs close by;
the closest bank ATM is on Hwy 160 back towards the Interstate! Lights go down for music just before
the show, so settle in for some wonderful entertainment.
Make your reservations right now! Hayden is just a short hop up I-65, right down the road from the Pumpkin Patch! GPS will take you right here,
and Mac will have signs up to guide your way. See the
Directions page for a thumbnail of where we are.
